Annual eye health and vision exams are vitally important in maintaining good ocular health.
These exams include:
-
Testing of visual acuity (This tells us how well you can see the lines on the chart)
-
Determination of refraction (This provides the glasses prescription, if necessary)
-
Testing of depth perception, color vision, intra-ocular pressure (the air puff machine), ocular motor function and muscle balance (your eye’s ability to move and work together)
-
Evaluation of ocular health, and assessment for the risk of, or presence of, various conditions such as: Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Corneal Disease, Diabetic/Hypertensive Retinopathy, etc.
-
Dilation, and/or retinal imaging as necessary, to ensure that we get a clear picture of the health of the eye.
