Optomap

Eye care professionals encourage getting a comprehensive eye exam every 1-2 years because of many reasons; one of those reasons is that many eye diseases that affect our vision may not be symptomatic until the associated vision loss is permanent.

At Crossroads Eye Care we use the Optomap, a machine that captures a photo of 80% of the retina, whereas traditional retinal photography only captures 15% of the retina on average. Aside from seeing more of the eye, we also have a photo record of your retinas, allowing us to track the health of your eye each year that you complete the Optomap.
